Mr. Aldo Uva is the Chief Operating Supply Officer at Ferrero, reporting directly to the Group CEO, Mr. Giovanni Ferrero.
In this role, Mr. Uva leads teams whose objectives are to support the aggressive expansion of the Ferrero Group and to work on disruptive innovation aimed at increasing the competitive advantage.
Reporting to Mr. Uva are: the Chief Information Officer; the SVP Purchasing; the Chief Supply Chain Officer; SVP Packaging and Design; SVP Raw Material and Agricultural Enterprises; the Sustainability & Risk Management Officer; SVP Transformational Projects; and the Operating Science Officer. Mr. Uva’s teams are located around the world with main offices in Alba, Italy; Luxembourg City; New York City; Istanbul and Singapore.
Before joining Ferrero Mr. Uva was President and SVP at Firmenich Flavors. Reporting to the CEO, Mr. Uva was responsible for creating, driving and delivering against the company’s strategic goals for the division. Mr. Uva joined Firmenich in July 2009.
Prior to Firmenich, Mr. Uva was the CEO at Natuzzi, a global Italian furniture manufacturing company. He joined Natuzzi as CEO in 2008 with the challenge of turning around the business, which he successfully accomplished during his tenure at the company.
Prior to Natuzzi, in 2007-2008, Mr. Uva worked for Nestlé in Vevey, Switzerland, as VP and Head of the Global Beverages and Food Services Division, where he assumed worldwide responsibility for the Beverage business.
From 2001-2007, he held various positions at Sara Lee Corporation , starting as the Regional VP for the Americas and South Europe for the Household and Body Care Division based in Barcelona, Spain. After two years he was transferred to New York to take over the responsibility for the North America Coffee and Tea Division. His last role at Sara Lee was in Chicago, as Senior VP of Transformation and as a Corporate Officer of the company, reporting to the CEO.
For four years prior to Sara Lee, Mr. Uva was CEO of North and Central America, Mexico and Caribe for Parmalat, the largest milk company in the world. Mr Uva started his career at the Italian multinational Indesit Company, a leading European manufacturer of domestic appliances. He spent thirteen years at Indesit, where he held several roles, the last as CEO for Russia, Central and Eastern Europe.

When looking at global cash crops, hazelnut does not make it into the top 10. Nevertheless, hazelnut combined with chocolate created world famous confectionery categories. Ferrero as the largest consumer of hazelnuts has embarked on a journey to develop the hazelnut industry on a global scale towards better farming, agronomic research & development, industrial processing, long-term partnership and sustainability: Through the creation of a dedicated end-to-end structure that bundles the specific expertise – the Hazelnut Company – Ferrero is driving the transformation of the supply chain from science all the way to the end-product.
