Aarti Kapoor is the Managing Director of Embode, an independent human rights consultancy working on the ground with corporate supply chains to tackle social issues across Asia and Africa. She leads a broad portfolio of work for clients such as Mondelēz, Barry Callebaut, Cargill and Bunge Loders Croklaan across a number of commodity supply chains, focusing on child labour, forced labour, women’s empowerment and community development. Her work includes ongoing focus on supply chains in countries such as Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Thailand and Vietnam. Embode’s other clients include UN agencies, such as IOM and Unicef, and NGOs such as Anti-Slavery International and Save the Children.
Aarti has almost 20 years’ of experience working on human rights issues working across government, NGOs and business. She is qualified as a lawyer in both the UK and US and holds Masters degrees in Law and Economics, and Systems Leadership and Organisational Analysis.
