Barry Callebaut ("we," "us," or "our") considers privacy an important issue. This privacy and cookie policy ("Privacy Policy") outlines the types of personal data that we gather when you use our CHOCOVISION Site and/or any pages thereof (the "CHOCOVISION Site"). These principles apply to personal data such as your name, e-mail address, contact information, and other personally identifiable information that you may provide by using the CHOCOVISION Site, as well as to other data that we collect and process regarding your use of the CHOCOVISION Site.

Information Collection and Use 

  • When logging in to and using the CHOCOVISION Site, Barry Callebaut shall collect any personal data from you that you provide to us through the CHOCOVISION Site, including (without being limited to) the following personal data: name, email address and any other information you provide to us on the CHOCOVISION Site.   • We may share aggregated and/or non-identified data with other recipients. Examples of such aggregated and non-identified data include user trends or the number of users who accessed a particular part of the CHOCOVISION Site or the number of times certain links on the CHOCOVISION Site are clicked on.

  • The term "Barry Callebaut" refers to the entity of the Barry Callebaut group that is responsible for the processing of your personal data. For the CHOCOVISION Site this is Barry Callebaut AG, Pfingstweidstrasse 60, 8005 CH, Zürich, Switzerland.
  • Permission is given that we may store and process personal data collected on our CHOCOVISION Site in any country in which Barry Callebaut, a member of the Barry Callebaut group or our hosting providers maintain facilities, including (but not limited to) Belgium, Switzerland, USA and Canada. Any such Barry Callebaut facility will treat your personal data according to this Privacy Policy. By using the CHOCOVISION Site and accepting this Privacy Policy, you consent to the transfer and the making available of your personal data among these facilities which may involve any trans-border transfer of your data.

Security 

  • We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure appropriate security of personal data and to protect personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.   • In case you encounter some issues with the processing of your personal data by us and we are unable to address those in a proper manner, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority tasked with the enforcement of data protection rules. 

History of Updates and Changes to this Privacy Policy 

  • Barry Callebaut reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy without prior notice to reflect technological advancements, legal and regulatory changes, and good business practices. If Barry Callebaut changes its privacy practices, a new Privacy Policy will reflect those changes and the effective date of the revised Privacy Policy will be set forth in this paragraph.
